PostHeaderIcon Yes he did!

We’ve been itching to see the footage of one of the most loved President in the world’s candid comment on Kanye’s “inappropriate” behavior on VMA.
He actually called Kanye a jackass.
Go check it out.

Obama on Kanye

The proof is in the pudding.

PostHeaderIcon Oh no, he didn't!

In the midst of the Kanye West-Taylor Swift VMA scandalous encounter, rumor has it the Pres. Barack Obama called Kanye a jackass. Hearsay, hearsay, the worlds’ most powerful man would not say such a thing.
I think we are all putting him too much up on a pedestal because the man really called him so!.
TMZ got the tape of his candid statement which was recorded just minutes before is CNBC interview.
He tried to ward off the negative issue that may rise about this comment by saying “Cut the President some slack.”
He actually does not have to shift gear, the comment was appropriate and makes him more human.

PostHeaderIcon One Top Chef

I know that the Season 4 of Top Chef is so yesterday but I have not seen it all yet and it is actually the one being shown (as the latest season of the show) on 2nd Avenue.

I do not know yet who won that season and I’d like to keep it that way.

For a foodie like me, I find it enticing to watch cooking shows especially those being hosted by true chefs but I must tell you that although there’s a little voice in my head telling me that I want to be a chef, I know that there are dreams that are best to be kept as dreams.

At the moment, I can state two reasons why I am not entertaining the thought of me becoming a chef or even a sous chef:

1. I can not plate. I can’t even fix my room how on earth could I arrange food on a plate?
2. I almost failed my French class, how would you expect me to invent food, plate it and name it in French?

So letting go of this unreachable dream, let’s switch back to Top Chef.

I remember reading an article about Dale Talde of Season 4 on a local broadsheet. I learned from it that he is 100% Pinoy but it left me guessing who he was in that season as there was no picture of him to accompany the article. daleintrotp1

I was able to know him (on TV) through 2nd Ave.’s teasers.

I am still not a regular viewer though. But in every episode of TC that I have seen, I must say that I was really impressed by Dale’s genius and attitude towards cooking.

What makes watching in action more exciting is how he proudly and fearlessly incorporates in Asian side and Pinoy side in every dish that he serves.

Screw Vanessa Hudgens and Nicole Scherzinger! They’re famous yeah, and most of our kababayans would love to ride on their popularity forcing them to acknowledge their Pinoy roots but in reality they are not.

They grew up and raised abroad in the culture that is all but Pinoy.

If my marriage to Curtis Stone fails, then I would marry Dale. I would not mind living with a Butterscotch Pony.

PostHeaderIcon Knock 'em down Hatton!

Coverage of Pacquiao-Hatton fight last Sunday in MGM Grand Las Vegas was not overrated. It was one of the most anticipated boxing matches and in fact regarded as one of the best boxing matches (at least for Pacquia) in boxing history.

Pacman has started his series of celebration from singing his victory on karaoke in Vegas and it is expected to have more extensions when he comes back to the Philippines.

He is happy and we are all happy. He deserves every bit of his victory but have you ever thought what the knocked out Hatton is doing after his flat out photo opp on the boxing ring?

Well, TMZ has caught him knocking down glass after glass of Guiness in Vegas.

Let’s give him that. It’s the only thing that he could beat. Poor Hatton. I hope he did not feel sorry in the morning. A terrible hang over is worse than a shaken brain.

Would you do the same?

PostHeaderIcon Oh, Paris!

While the concern is now becoming a wordwide alarm as the Center for Disease Control (CDC)  has hightened the alert to 5, 6  being the highest for the Swin Flu to be declared as pandemic, the hotel heiress, seems to be clueless about the alarming spread of the H1N1 virus.

A paparazzo has caught up with Miss Hilton and asked her if she’s worried about the swine flu that is killing a lot of people in Mexico. The hard partying blonde has responded: I don’t eat that!

Haha

Check this TMZ video

At least she knows what a swine is and besides there are so many communicable diseases that she needs to worry about.
